The SkyScan Mini heat Index Weather Station is a multi-functional compact weather instrument that displays temperature, humidity, heat index and provides a forecast based on the data collected.
This unit will display HEAT INDEX to provide feels like temperature which is how warm it is felt on skin by considering the effect of humidity on the perspiration of human body beside the ambient temperature. The feels like temperature is considered more important for people having outdoor activities, vigorous exercise or elderly and people having health problems. When it is high, the risk of getting heat exhaustion and heat stroke will become higher.
Four different levels of heat stroke alerts are displayed along with an audible warning.
1. Attention: Fatigue is possible with prolonged exposure and/or physical activity.
2. Caution: Sun stroke, heat cramps, or heat exhaustion is possible with prolonged exposure and/or physical activity.
3. Risky: Sun stroke, heat cramps, or heat exhaustion is likely, and heat stroke is possible with prolonged exposure and/or physical activity.
4. Hi Risk: Heat/Sun stroke is highly likely with continued exposure
Other features include; clock, countdown timer, alarm date and low battery indicator.

Product Model Improvements:
- New feature: back lit LCD display clearly visible in low-light conditions.
- New keypad lock function prevents the unit from being tampered with by accident while in a bag, pocket or drawer. The keypad can be locked and silent when not in use.
- New low-battery indicator
- The new Ti-Plus 2 also employs a maximum temperature, humidity and heat index memory that stores the most extreme conditions for historical reference.
- Upgrades to the temperature and humidity sensors for improved accuracy. The sensors are the same ones we use in our professional weather-monitoring systems costing several thousand dollars.
- New software development has allowed us to add weather forecasting capability to this product which was not possible on the older Ti-Plus.
- The Ti-Plus 2 monitors changes to barometric pressures, humidity and temperature in a way that it can also predict incoming rainstorms.
