How do I change the battery in my Vantage Vue?
The Vantage Vue weather station’s sensor suite operates using a solar panel with a 3-volt lithium battery back-up. A supercapacitor powers the system at night. The battery should last several years, depending on solar charging.
To replace the 3-volt lithium battery on the sensor suite, open the battery compartment on the bottom of the sensor suite.
How do I reset my Vantage Vue?
The Vantage Vue weather station console does not have a reset button. To reset it, remove all power sources, both the AC-power cord and batteries. You should leave it disconnected for 10 to 20 seconds and then repower the unit to restart it.

Very good unit Model 6357. Replaced the wind cups after hail storm 2013 and batteries as needed. Otherwise very good unit.
This was my second roof top unit. After 9 years of continuous use, the power source stopped working, as did wind vane. After consulting with Davis tech irealized best course was replacement. I appreciated his help, and would have been happy to order direct, but i looked around as I wanted asap as i was missing data since it went out, and since i was in nj the delivery here was faster at same price. And i was thrilled to get the 4 inch rain gauge as a bonus. I record rainfall daily for Cocorhas and getting an extra gauge helpful. I use the manual gauge for my report as required, but the davis is often same or off by only few 0.01s
The vantage vue good for all the other weather variables too. And good to record when the rain events occur. Highly reccomend
This unit is replacing my original Davis 6357 Vantage Vue I purchased almost 20 years ago. Accurate temperature humidity, THI, wind speeds, barametric readings and rainfall totals. Match it up with a Davis 6313 console, even if you are not a weather geek, you'll enjoy these units. Scientific Sales always has the best price, fast delivery and great communication after the sale.
5/5 for customer service. This is a great company, when you call or email for help you get a real and knowledgeable person. Had to return this product, they made it easy.
2/5 Product itself probably works fine IF you get all the components (which are not included here despite being advertised by the manufacturer as an all in one). They no longer ship with any control modules, which you need just to access the most basic functions of this station. So you will need to either buy the panel or wireless router (which is another $400) separately, or buy the expensive bundle. Very annoying that this is not explicitly spelled out, and I checked extensively. Unit itself has poor reviews for quality all over the web, handling the device I could see why. There are better systems out there. I would avoid for someone who wants a simple home system. This unit makes sense for someone with the existing infrastructure from this brand that wants to add another unit to their array (although the cost is still too high in my opinion). Do not recommend, but I recommend this company in general.
This is my 3rd Vantage Vue instrument ( accidentally dropped my 2nd when cleaning it) a VERY Accurate piece of equipment highly recommend EZ install too.
