This works really nice. Easy to set up. It needs to be permantly mounted.

The tripod is as described - very simple and sturdy if it's mounted as intended (i.e. on a roof). Not quite so sturdy when mounted at ground level - which of course makes battery changes much simpler. I would suggest the legs should be individually adjustable to cater for uneven surfaces - but all in all not a bad product.

The tripod arrived quickly via UPS. Easy to mount and adjust. The weather station looks good in its new location.

The 7716 Davis Tripod. went up easy and they even supplied the lag screws.
