The Davis Instruments 6332 Vantage Pro2 Solar-Powered Multi-Sensor Transmitter enables you to create a customized wireless sensor station that can communicate directly with your Vantage Pro2 console, Vantage Connect, or WeatherLink Live. Each transmitter can support up to five different sensors. Allows an existing Vantage Pro 2 anemometer to be located independently from the Vantage Pro 2 integrated sensor suite (ISS) for distances greater than the 40-foot cable connection to the ISS unit.

The transmitter has a transmission range of up to 1,000 feet. Transmitter is contained within a weather resistant shelter. Solar-powered with capacitor and lithium back up battery. Lithium battery lasts up to 8 months without sunlight; more than two years depending on solar charging.

  • Build a custom system with the sensors you need where you need them.
  • Can support up to one each of five sensors: anemometer, rain collector, temperature probe or temperature/humidity, UV and solar radiation sensors.
  • With an anemometer installed, you can replace your Vantage Pro2 or Vantage Vue anemometer with a remote wind station.

Highlights

  • Industry-leading transmission range of 1,000’/300 m from the transmitter to a Vantage Connect, WeatherLink Live, or console.
  • Combine with WeatherLink Live to take full advantage of the Sensor Transmitter’s capabilities.
  • Weather-resistant shelter protects electronics.
  • Solar-powered with capacitor and lithium back up battery.
  • Battery easily lasts eight months without sunlight; more than two years depending on solar charging.
  • Easy installation with included mounting hardware.
  • One-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Slow shipping and slow inquiry response

Good prices but slow to ship and did not even respond to my initial query for information. Supposedly free shipping for the weather station but charged shipping for the accessories although they all came in the same box. Web site indicated product should arrive in 2 days based on my location but did not actually ship for almost a week and then it was shipped from the factory on the opposite side of the country so took almost a week to arrive.

Excellent prices and Excellent customer service

I recently refreshed the rooftop installation of my 20+ year old Davis Pro2 remote anemometer and solar transmitter for my weather station.

When I pulled the mast into the attic for inspection I noticed the solar Transmitter box, solar panel had started de-laminating so I replaced it with a new unit from Scientific sales who had the best prices and shipping rates and delivery times.

Although a shipping error initially sent the wrong unit, the correct one was quickly dispatched. I take full blame for the perceived miscommunication from Customer service I reported in a previous Google shopping review as emails from the customer service in response to the notice of the wrong unit being shipped somehow ended up in my email spam folder,

The Customer service was excellent and the correct unit arrived in time to install and avoid being on the roof in pending colder winter weather.

In short I will always buy my weather station equipment from Scientific Sales.
