The Davis 7717 Mounting Pole Kit includes two galvanized steel poles, connector, and mounting hardware. The weather station mounting kit poles measure 19.5" (0.50 m) and 21" (0.53 m) long. Assemble the two together to make a single 37.5" long pole. Outside diameter of both is 1.3125" (3 cm).

I hadn't used the mounting pole before but used it on this installation to increase my height above ground on the existing wood pole.  The sensor suite was easily attached to the top section of the pole, then the suite and pole were attached to the existing wood pole.  The only challenge was getting the suite level.  I also used four stainless steel pop rivets to attach the two pole sections together to prevent them from coming apart.  Very happy with the product and the installation process.
